Continuing our run of domesticity, Vikki decided to make some scones to compliment the raspberry jam. "You taste absolutely great, jam", said the scones, shortly before they were gobbled up. Mmmm, tasty.
Now I want scones and jam! But will I get it? NO. You know what will happen instead? I'll have to go outside and pick sodding figs all night, that's what. Thanks. Thanks a lot.
You will notice there is no photo of the scones; this is because they didn't rise very much so looked a bit puny. They tasted nice but didn't look too good! You should enjoy picking your figs, it's cool to have produce from your garden. We have a massive plum tree which means I will have to get some recipes for plums looked out. I don't like them raw. The only thing I know I like made with plums is the sauce you get with crispy fried duck! PS YOU could make the scones! Just an idea!
